Experience with Colt MT 6700?
Hey All. I'm looking into getting this rifle and wanted some opinions from people who have shot/own this rifle. Any reason to avoid this one?
Thanks http://www.coltsmfg.com/cmci/MTCompHBAR.asp http://www.coltsmfg.com/cmci/images/MTCompHBAR_BIG.jpg |
Re: Experience with Colt MT 6700?
The specs at the link say flat top but the picture isn't flat top. I've got a Colt CAR A3 Hbar Elite that has been as accurate as any black rifle I've seen. Just for fun I've shot it in Stock class at some benchrest matches and placed very well against some good bolt action rifles. Shooting single loaded hand loads, the rifle will shoot consistently around 1/2 inch at 100 yards.

Yeah the one pictured doesn't have the handle removed but it can be removed. Just wanted to see what people thought of it and how it shoots.
Thanks for the info!!! |
Re: Experience with Colt MT 6700?
I bought a R6700 in 1992 which I believe is just the pre brady ban version of the MT. I still have the 6700. It is very accurate. When my eyesight was better I could make smiley faces at 100 yards from a bench with open sights.
